We love our farm in Central Illinois. It’s been in Steve’s family for almost 150 years, and Steve’s dad recently put a lot of time and effort into updating it, while keeping its original charm intact. It’s a place full of light, energy and life. Technically, it’s in the middle of “nowhere” (corn and soybean fields), and to the naked eye there might be “nothing” to do, yet there is so much to do! We’ve spent about two weeks there over the past few months, and were busy from dawn ’til dusk planting gardens and trees, landscaping, moving piles of wood, raising bunnies, hanging out at weiner roasts, catching bugs, laying in the grass, inspecting the corn and beans, riding our bikes, hanging up laundry, playing with tractors, mowing, splitting wood, moving rocks, naming cats… the list goes on!
